Wil is a very attentive, helpful, and kind host. The house is beautifully decorated, bright and clean. The open space in front of the cottage is a relaxing experience.

Sehr netter Empfang, sehr zuvorkommend und es war wirklich eine sehr schöne Unterkunft. Wunderbar gelegen, das Wasser ist einen viertelstündigen Spaziergang über den Deich weg und es sind Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Modern eingerichtet, und alles da was man so gebrauchen könnte! Gerne wieder, vielen Dank!

Aus Rücksicht, auf meine Freundin, dass sie in der Zeit arbeiten musste, haben wir die größere Unterkunft gestellt bekommen, weil Renovierungsarbeiten stattfanden, die uns in der Kleineren hättte stören können.

Wills Häuschen ist wundervoll. Sehr gepflegt, charmant, ca. 2 km bis zum nächsten Ort, ca. 500 m bis zum Meer. Wer Erholung sucht ist hier richtig! Ein Erlebnis war das von ihr zubereitete Frühstück. – unbedingt probieren. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We spent 8 enjoyable days at Will's cottage just out of Sint-Maartinsdijk. Will and her dog met us upon arrival, showed us through the cute little cottage and made many suggestions for things to do during our stay. The cottage is nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed and excellent shower. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a small charcoal BBQ (make sure you set it up on the lawn, away from the door and windows). There is a nice covered outside patio area and we had most meals outside when the weather was fine, overlooking the grassed garden and neighbouring fields and trees. The island of Tholen is quieter that neighbouring areas, making for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Most mornings we cycled into Sint-Maartinsdijk for fresh bread for breakfast. The cottage is an ideal location for exploring this pretty part of the Netherlands, some recommendations from our time there include: The Watersnoodmuseum which was a real highlight - housed in the 4 caissons used to reconstruct the dijk to hold back the water at Ouwerkerk, it had excellent displays (with English headsets) of the devastation from the 1 Feb 1953 floods. Bergen om Zoom was another highlight, especially the tour of the Grebbe (underground tunnels constructed in the 13th century) the tour is only available on a Saturday and is limited to 20 people per tour - book in advance through the VVV. All of the towns on Tholen are worth visiting especially Tholen itself, with it's pretty harbour and windmill, also Oud Vossemeer with its USA links to Roosevelt. Other places that we enjoyed included the pretty port towns of Willemstad, Domburg (a popular tourist destination for both locals and people from Belgium and Germany, so very busy), Ouddorp, Veere which is delightful - we were lucky enough to visit on a Tuesday when the craft market was on and all the stall owners (including Will selling her lovely Polish pottery) were dressed in klederdracht. For those who like shopping, there is the Rosada Outlet Centre close to Roosendaal. Then there's Middelburg, Goes, Vlissengen, Antwerp, Brugge and Ghent which we saved for our 2nd AirBnB home in Zeeland. Thank you Will for a great 8 days in your cottage.

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Mitten in der Idylle haben wir uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Tipps von Will über den erdBeerhof um die Ecke und ein super Fischrestaurant haben das alles abgerundet. Die Haus war heimelig, sauber und schön. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!

What a great surprise when we arrived at the cottage. It was so cute and beautiful. The cottage is really well equipped, you don't need to bring anything for the kitchen, Will put everything at your disposal. She gave us good tips to rent bikes and to go to the restaurant. We also liked the fact that it was in the middle of the nature, with the sea really close to it as well as several villages where you can just walk to. In one word, we really recommend this place if you need to relax and escape from the cities !

Ein wunderschönes kleines Häuschen fern ab vom großen Tourismus mit einer wunderbaren Gastgeberin. Das Haus ist mit sehr viel Liebe ausgestattet, alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden. Der perfekte Ort, um zu entspannen und die Umgebung zu erkunden.
Het is 's ochtends heerlijk wakker worden met de geluiden van de natuur. Bovenal de vogels.
Het eiland Tholen is prachtig. Mooie wandel- en fietsroutes.
Wat een leuk, lief en sfeervol huisje is dit. Alles zit er op en er aan en dat in een kleine ruimte. Wij hadden prachtig weer waardoor we veel buiten zijn geweest. De ruimte om het huisje is lekker ruim. De gastvrouw erg hartelijk en de huishond (Borre) een schatje.
De styling vond ik ook erg leuk.
Zeker een aanrader!
Twee volwassenen twee kids is wel max maar dan alleen bij mooi weer zodat je ook buiten kunt zijn.
